Special needs: Recovering from eye surgery, has one more vet visit |
Description: Many of you have seen little Nemo on our front page. Well, he is doing great, and ready to look for his new home! Nemo came to Pug Rescue from the shelter, and we quickly discovered that both of his corneas were punctured. He had a very costly and complicated surgery on one eye and it has healed well. Our awesome vets and Nemo's fantastic foster family were able to care for his other eye so well that it healed up without needing surgery, something we are all very grateful for!
Nemo has another follow up vet visit in 3 weeks for medication to help lessen the scar in his left eye. It should lessen, but there will always be a pink line there. He can see just fine though, and once those meds are finished he should not need any more! Nemo is otherwise a young, healthy guy and so glad that Pug Rescue was able to help care for his eyes so that he can go through life able to see AND smell the flowers!!
Nemo is potty trained, and gets along great with the two other dogs and two cats in his foster home. He is a mellow guy, but will play whenever you want. He loves to go for walks, and walks politely on a leash.
Nemo is a sweet little guy who has been through a lot. Won't you grant his Christmas wish for a forever home of his own? |
| New Beginning: Nemo's new family wrote "Thank you for introducing us to Nemo. He gets along well with our older pug, Attila, allowing Attila to be the alpha male even though Attila is prone to long naps. My daughter is delighted that Nemo is polite in public and heels on a leash. Nemo has a wonderful personality and is exactly what we needed in a companion dog that we could love.We are lucky to have him." |
