| Other: Buddy's tongue hangs out because his jaw was broken |
|
Special needs: Lots of TLC |
Description: This is our new friend, Buddy. Buddy comes to Pug Rescue from the shelter in Lancaster. Poor Buddy has had an awfully rough round, and at some point in his life his jaw was broken. We don't know when, and we don't know how, but nothing was done to care for him when the break was fresh, so now Buddy is left with his tongue permanently hanging out and slightly crooked ears. Our vets do not want to try to fix it, as that would involve rebreaking Buddy's jaw and that is just a lot of pain to put this guy through. We don't want to cause Buddy any more pain, and since he seems to manage just fine, we will leave it that way it is.
Buddy's jaw certainly doesn't slow him down any, and he is a sweet, loving, and happy 2 year old. He is not currently on any meds and he eats just fine even with his jaw the way it is. Buddy is going potty outside or on potty pads if they are down in the house. Buddy gets along with the cats in his foster home and loves kids. He likes to play ball, and really enjoys people, but is also ok hanging out on his own. He is not a barker, and loves to run around outside. Buddy would make a great addition to any family.
Buddy is a nice dog, one who certainly deserved better care than what he got when his jaw was broken. Buddy will be available for adoption once he is neutered and his teeth have been cleaned. Please let us know if you are interested in meeting this lovable boy!
Update - Buddy went in for his neuter and wonderful Dr. Martin was able to wire his jaw and do some repairs to it - making his future much more comfortable! Lucky Buddy! |
| New Beginning: Buddy is enjoying his new life with two new Maltipoo sisters and his very own human sibling to play with! Buddy is a beloved member of his forever family, exactly what we hope for for every Pug that comes through our doors. |
